elcome to the new Morani River Ranch, state-of-the-art lodge and guest rooms designed by renowned Texas architect, Art Tatum. Mr. Tatum designed the lodge in the Texas Hill Country style, with a modern touch. The 6,000 square foot lodge includes a large great room with a massive, multi story, stone fireplace, full service bar, whole-room sound system, a home theater, including surround sound, drop down projection screen and reclining seating, shuffle board, high definition flat screen TV’s and plenty of comfortable seating for just plain relaxing. The dining room boasts its own stone fireplace, full surround sound system, wine cellar, and two sliding glass window walls that open onto a large covered veranda that has one of the best views in the Hill Country. You can sit back and relax on the veranda in the mornings with your coffee, or in the evenings with your cocktail and watch the wildlife stroll by the large grassy meadow in front of the lodge. Be careful though, the Bison like to lie on the veranda as well. The lodge outfitted with a modern, commercial kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals designed to meet your specific dining preferences. The mud room/entry includes individual lockers to house each hunter’s firearms and hunting equipment in a secure location. You may enter the room, remove all of your hunting gear and boots, slip on your comfortable house shoes and retire to the relaxation of the lodge or your private guest suite. Our outdoor pavilion, with full kitchen and swimming pool, is the best place to kick back and enjoy the great South Texas weather. The swimming pool and hot tub snuggle right up to the pavilion so you will not have far to go. The full kitchen, bar-b-que, large stone fire place and comfortable deck furniture allow for year round use. A surround sound system and large flat screen TV assure you will never miss any of the big games, even if you are sitting at the in-pool bar. Our bunkrooms consist of complete private suites. Our master suites include a full living room with a stone fireplace and full sleeper sofa, private bedroom with a king or queen bed, in-bedroom satellite TV, coffee maker and refreshment center. The private bathroom in each suite includes a full bath/shower combination. The individual suites have all of the same amenities as the master suites, with the exception of the living room. Any additional requirements such as video game equipment, blow dryers, specific snacks or refreshments, can be provided in each suite at our guest’s request. A fire pit under the stars of the vast, Texas sky, provides just the right setting for late night story telling and roasting of marshmallows. There have even been reported sightings of the ghost of a famous Texas Indian fighter. He means no harm, but the late night camp fire seems to draw him in.
