The Morani River Ranch’s current breeder bucks consist of some of the strongest Texas genetics in the industry. Our breeders are utilized as both primary breeders of select foundation does, as well as cover bucks for the AI program. This assures that ALL of our offspring have the best genetics possible. We are extremely proud of our foundation sires, our current line of breeder bucks and our AI sires, but the foundation of a solid breeding program lies in the does as much, if not more, than the bucks. As a primary focus of our program, we emphasize the does and their genetics, pedigrees and history of production. As they say in the industry, your deer will only be as good as your does. And our foundation does are the BEST in Texas.

Our goal in our breeding programs is to consistently produce large mainframe deer that are healthy, strong and ready to live out their lives in their native habitat of Texas. We DNA test our breeding lines and maintain detailed records on our breeding program to ensure this consistency and the ability to produce these fantastic results year after year.

Our Robert Williams line of does comes from some of the top breeders in the state of Texas and include foundation genetics and AI sired offspring from some of the most famous deer including: Bambi, Bambi 727, Bambi Double Drop, Bambi Peanut, Bambi Escalade, Bambi Prickly Pear, Bambi Dynamite, Monarch II, Gladiator, BB Peanut Tines, Bobby Beams, 5F Zeus and many others. These incredibly strong foundation genetics have been bred to several of our lines with incredible and consistent results. Several “Outcrosses” have produced tremendous deer.

Our Yankee line consists of the following breeder bucks and foundation genetics:
This line is built around the famous deer and genetics from The Refuge. Our breeder buck Slingshot, out of Chris McSpadden’s Slingblade, is a 246” heavy mainframe 10-point with kickers and splits. With a long, DNA-proven lineage that goes back six generations, this buck is the culmination of over 15 years of sophisticated line breeding by one of the true geniuses in our industry, Chris McSpadden. His lineage is from the now famous “Blade” and “Slingblade” lines from The Refuge. Our foundation does in this line consist of does with four to six generations of sophisticated line breeding from The Refuge program that includes deer from the likes of Blade, Big O, Slingblade, Cadillac, Wiz, 2Wide, Rattler, Cash, Pancho, Texas Sam and many others.
