Morani River Ranch is home to one of the most modern and sophisticated deer handling facilities in the country. Our deer breeding pens and working facility allow hands-on access to our deer for high-level medical maintenance treatment as well as artificial insemination (AI), including laparoscopic AI and cervical AI procedures.

Through these AI techniques, we are able to develop our foundation breeding stock into some of the largest typical-frame whitetail deer in the state of Texas. Our AI foundation sires include deer such as Berrylicious (Berry Whitetails), Leverage (the largest pure South Texas Whitetail ever born in Texas at 360” at two-years-old), 2Wide and Big O from The Refuge. Our own South Texas monsters Stimulus, scoring 271” at two-years-old, and Slingshot, scoring 226” at 3-years-old, hail from the famous Refuge line of Slingblade. Bobby Beams from the White Ghost Ranch and Robert Williams’ lines, Monarch II, Bambi Escalade, Bambi Prickly Pear, Mexican Monarch, BBP Tines, Gladiator and many more further our high-class AI Sires.

Being able to introduce our genetics from various programs that represent over 15 years of the most sophisticated and strong genetics in Texas has allowed us to bring our herd to another level. The results are in the pens and in the pasture.
